Germany played very well, even without Michael Ballack.

Ecuador was somewhat a suprise, Poland came out nonchalantly and expected to win. They did not seem as motiviated as Ecuador.

Costa Rica did not play that bad, they were just beaten by a great team, the 3rd best in the tourney, IMO. Germany looks to be up there with Brazil and France as being an early favorite.

Englad will be fun to watch, they should come out a lot better in 06 than they were in 02.

Germany's back line and defensive gameplan will keep them out of the hunt IMO

HUGE upset today! Teeny Trinidad and Tobago ties heavily favored Sweden today, playing the game short a man.

I certainly don't want Sweden to win this tourney. They have hockey gold as it is.
